Funny if it wasn’t true, black poll worker last Tuesday at my precinct proudly wearing her Obama family t-shirt. Against the rules, I know, but since when do the rules matter to democrats.

  • IndigoV

    Hypocrite.
As if a T shirt is going to change anyone’s vote.

  • http://www.plumbbobblog.com philwynk

Yeah. Somehow, the rules never matter when it’s Democrats breaking them. And we’re all “hypocrite” or “trying to suppress the vote” when we object to the law being broken.

Or maybe it’s… um… could it possibly be…

    DEMOCRATS ARE CRIMINALS??:?

And THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE???

    Nah… couldn’t be.

  • Dylan

How is he a hypocrite? It is against the rules for a poll worker to be visibly supporting a party or candidate. and with good reason. You fail to see the power of display and advertising, and you fail to grasp logic.

  • http://www.plumbbobblog.com philwynk

He doesn’t fail to grasp logic. He fails to recognize that laws apply to Democrats. He’s not stupid; he’s LAWLESS. That’s not stupid; it’s criminal, and it’s evil.

  • Dylan

Well, his failure then to not recognize the law is out of stupidity, not deliberation. You give liberals far too much credit.

  • kilkandark

There are also ways to report it which I assume you did which means there was a record of it and then can be followed up on? Wityh no proof I suppose we are all to just go along that this meme and your most recent experience coincide ..I am 100% sure that is the case ..So your proof?

  • Cliff Hicks

That makes you racist for pointing it out. And me for acknowledging it.

  • Christopher Alan Moore

It’s okay (well, not really). It’s not like liberals
    are actually real Americans, right?

  • IndigoV

You’re a hypocrite because the conservatives are doing the same exact thing in areas they control. This isn’t exclusive to either party. Politics has becoming disgusting in this country and people are subverting the civility and dignity of elections.

I am pretty well aware of what various politicians are doing. Unlike you, though, I don’t retain my childish sense of fairness that requires that I pretend that everybody is exactly the same.

That’s why I can accept what the facts tell me plainly: that the lawlessness of the Democratic party is about an order of magnitude greater than that of the Republican party. Moreover, when a Republican gets caught breaking laws, they’re usually prosecuted with the full cooperation of other Republicans, whereas when a Democrat breaks the law the party circles around that person and ensures that their member receives the smallest possible penalty, which is often nothing more than the verbal equivalent of a slap on the wrist.

So, no, the parties are not equally guilty, and no, I’m not a hypocrite. And I think you need to grow up and assess the facts dispassionately, instead of filtering the matter through childhood maxims that really don’t fit reality.

  • http://www.philweingart.net/ Phil Weingart

You’ve posted the same thing three times, and it wasn’t true even the first time.

Politics has never been terribly civil. What’s different now is that unlike most of the 20th century, the Democrats no longer control all the press outlets, so the Republicans now have the ability to answer back. As a consequence, the Democrat-controlled press outlets have abandoned the facade of objectivity and become, instead, pure propaganda outlets for the left. There are other changes, but that’s the biggie.

But because the Democrats have held near-total control over the public narrative, and because the vast majority of attorneys (and therefore judges) are Democrats, the Democrats have pretty much abandoned any semblance of obeying the laws, and have simply become a criminal enterprise.

It’s plausible that the Republicans would have become just as lawless had they held the sort of control over the narrative that the Democrats have held. But that’s a different universe; in this one, it’s the Democrats who have become utterly criminal. Sorry, but that’s just a response to the facts.

  • IndigoV

That’s complete bullshit. The Republicans are never prosecuted and neither are the Democrats. They are both above the law.

Fuck your partisan bullshit you hypocrite.

  • IndigoV

Right Wing Media has dominated the radio airwaves since the 80′s, they have their own cable networks now, and they control the courts in a ton of states. On top of it, most Baptist and Evangelical Churches are doing political activism for conservative political causes.

You are living in a partisan hole.

  • http://www.philweingart.net/ Phil Weingart

    Right. Because radio controls everything.

    Imbecile.

First of all, even the right-wing radio voice did not exist before the 1980s because of the oppressive “Fairness” Doctrine. When it was properly repealed was the first time since the New Deal that conservatives had any voice at all on the public airwaves; everything–EVERYTHING–was partisan Democrat.

And when talk radio did have an impact? There’s still ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the San Francisco Examiner, the Boston Globe, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution… not to mention Warner Bros, MTV, all the movie producers in Hollywood, virtually every university in the US, every court in Democrat-controlled cities…

See, you’ve proved my point. And Democrats are TERRIFIED of talk radio, not because it’s so controlling, but because their position is so flaccid, so completely fact-free, that even the slightest exposure to an opponent threatens their power. So vicious enemies of humanity like you rail like scalded toddlers about Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, even though you still have near-total control of the airwaves. Cause if people start seeing clearly, your power folds overnight.

And you wonder why we think you’re intellectual zeros.

  • http://www.philweingart.net/ Phil Weingart

So Duke Cunningham isn’t in prison? And Denny Hastert still has his seat in the House of Representatives?

Sure doesn’t take much to make a leftist drop his veneer of civility and display what’s underneath, does it? I wonder why people don’t get the message. It’s not just IndigoV: virtually every activist has the same, shallow veneer of civility, covering a vicious beast with no morals, no civility, and no control.

  • IndigoV

If you have a problem with universities, then you probably just have a problem with facts and logic. The Republican party has been divorced from those largely since the 80′s. Notice that Reagan didn’t win office by appealing to people’s sense of facts and logic, he used nationalist jingoism, religion, the culture wars, and moral issues to get into power. He manipulated the ignorant religious right of the South into joining the Republican party.

The ignorant South(which I live in btw), is now a huge drag on the Republican party nationally.

I’m not a Democrat btw. I supported Ron Paul in the past and I supported Ross Perot before that. I didn’t support Romney or Obama. But I do agree with Democrats on more issues currently than Republicans. That could change if the Republicans start to have more reality based policies.

  • http://www.philweingart.net/ Phil Weingart

If you have a problem with universities, then you probably just have a problem with facts and logic.

My test scores say otherwise. I find, on the other hand, that fools that go around saying “you have a problem with facts and logic” generally can’t reason their way out of a paper bag open at both ends.

And we examine what “problem with universities” you’re talking about, and we discover the evidence supporting our thesis about your (lack of) logical ability. My complaint is that progressives have taken over American universities. That does not mean I have a “problem with facts and logic,” it means I detest progressives, and consider them horribly biased and logically dishonest. Whether it has any bearing on my logical reasoning ability depends on whether it is factual or not. And since leftists outnumber conservatives on university faculties by an average of 80 to 1 in the US, it’s hard to say it’s not factual with a straight face.

Your ridiculous analysis of Reagan’s appeal and your bigotry toward your neighbors in the South further demonstrate your complete inability to function intellectually–or morally. You’re a real mess, dude.

(BTW: I lived 11 years in the deep South, myself. “Ignorant” is not an apt description of the South. You’re just an arrogant putz; that’s why they seem ignorant to you.)

That’s the end of this conversation, by the way. I get more sensible replies from 5-year-olds than from you. Frankly, dude, your brain seems addled, and you need to go get help.

  • IndigoV

The vast majority of Southern Conservatives believe in New Earth Creationism. If that isn’t proof of ignorance, willful or otherwise, I don’t know what is. They think that scientific facts about the geological age of the planet and carbon dating of fossils is part of some conspiracy against Christianity. Notice that most non Baptist/Evangelical Christians in this country and around the world accept evolution.
